Booking the right discotheque for your important event is crucial, so we’re always happy to answer any questions that you might have. Here are some of the questions we’re often asked, but if you don’t see the information you need here, please get in touch.
How much do you charge?
We aim to be as competitive as possible for every event we attend, so we do not have a set fee. Once we’ve found out a little more about what you have in mind, we’ll be able to give you a quote, taking into account your requirements, date of event, distance to travel, performances booked, etc – all with your specific budget in mind.
Which areas do you cover?
We are happy to attend any event worldwide, however we are based in London and do have to add travel costs onto our quotes.
How competitive are you?
Our Price Guarantee means that we will match or beat a written quote from a comparable supplier who is offering the same high quality service as MC Special Roadshow. We are unable to match prices from suppliers offering low quality budget shows as we are a professional company providing highly trained staff and a premium level of service.
Do you only perform at Asian events?
Not at all. We have an extensive customer base of clients of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and musical preferences. Our extensive experience and substantial music collection means that we perform a varied selection of music to suit all tastes.
Do you use strobe lighting?
Only if you are happy for us to do so. Strobe lighting doesn’t form a major part of our light shows, but is sometimes used at a low level. If you know that any of your guests suffer from epilepsy, or if you would prefer we didn’t use this lighting effect, please let us know.
I’ve just found out that there is a sound limiter at my venue. Is this a problem?
Not at all. Our digital sound system enables us to perform right up to the limit of the sound limiter but not beyond – ensuring our output is consistent and without interference.
Can I be confident that your equipment is safe and your staff are well trained?
Yes. All of our equipment is fully electrically (PAT) tested and passed to ensure total safety. We also have our own public liability insurance which is required by many venues. The safety of our clients and their guests is of paramount importance to us, and so all of our staff are highly trained professionals.
How can I secure a booking with you?
Once you make an enquiry with us, providing we have the availability, we will provisionally book your event. This booking will be held for seven days, after which we will require a deposit to secure your date. Once we have received your deposit you will receive a confirmed booking confirmation and booking contract from us.
Our event is going to be very smart – how will MC Special Roadshow staff be dressed?
Whatever the event, our team comply to a strict dress code of black shirts, black trousers and black shoes.
How many of your staff will be at my event?
This depends on your requirements and the complexity of your event, but usually three people – a DJ, and MC and a technician.
